Mr Chris Wood - Dentist BDS MFGDP Dip Imp Dent (RCS Eng) FFGDP (UK), GDC: 57428

Chris qualified from London University in 1982 and after some time working in hospital dentistry and general practice, both in the UK and overseas, gained his diploma in general practice from The Royal College of Surgeons.

He has broad experience working in corporate dentistry with Boots Dentalcare and teaching at Kings College Dental School.

In 2006 Chris was awarded the prestigious Diploma In Dental Implantology from the Royal College of Surgeons, and is busy developing a well respected dental implant referral service, providing implant solutions for the patients of many local practices. Chris is now also in the final stages of assessment for the Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons.

Chris has been trained in facial rejuvenation techniques ie use of Botox and Dermal Fillers

Ms Ruth Bird - Dentist BDS, GDC: 54401

With over 20 years experience in both private and corporate dentistry with Boots Dentalcare, Ruth has wide experience and training in both general dentistry and more advanced cosmetic treatments.

She has a sympathetic, empathetic approach to both her patients’ needs and requirements and has also recently trained in facial aesthetic treatments.

Ms Caroline King - Specialist Orthodontist BDS MSc MOrth FDS RCS(Eng), GDC: 62941

Caroline King has worked in Orthodontics for over 10 years and is registered with the General Dental Council as a specialist
in Orthodontics.

To achieve the most beautiful smile, Caroline pays particular attention to the emphasis on careful treatment planning.

Caroline works part time for the practice, one Saturday per month and Friday, 9am - 1pm.

Mrs Jane Bower - Practice Manager/Registered dental nurse, GDC: 140462

Responsible for the smooth and efficient running of the Practice, Jane ensures that current GDC clinical guidelines are complied with and is constantly looking for ways in which to improve the services we provide and is committed to ongoing continuous professional development.

Jane will be happy for you to contact her should you have any questions, suggestions or complaints about these services. With 30 years experience in dentistry her main priority is the comfort of our patients and she strives to make your visit a pleasant one.

Alison Haeney - Dental Therapist/edh, GDC: 6198

Alison joined The Old Rectory in July 2006. She qualified from Sheffield University in 2003 with a dual diploma in dental hygiene and dental therapy.

She has experience in general practice and also corporate dentistry and has gained a reputation as an enthusiastic and dynamic member of our team.

Alison also takes responsibility for the dental care and treatment of our younger patients and increasingly provides routine care for our adult patients.

Lianne Broome - Hygienist edh, GDC: 4346

After training for 3 years as a dental nurse, Lianne gained a place at Eastman Dental Hospital to train as a dental hygienist. She qualified in 1992 and was awarded the Oral B prize for Patient Management and Motivation.

She has worked at Eastman Dental Institute and in private practice and has worked at The Old Rectory since 1992.

Mrs Christina Boswell - Receptionist

Chris know to all as Bozzy has been with the practice for three years and has much experience working in medical and dental practices. Her warm and caring personality is often commented on by our patients and we are pround to have her as a first point of contact for our patients.
