What are dental implants?
Implants represent the ‘state of the art’ in modern cosmetic and restorative dentistry for the replacement of missing teeth.
They are small Titanium cylinders carefully placed in the jaw bone. Once healing is complete, the implant becomes rigidly ‘locked’ in position by a process
known as ‘osseo-integration’ and acts as the root or anchor for replacing missing teeth.
Implants can be used to:
- Replace single teeth
- Support bridges to replace several missing teeth
- Anchor dentures in position
- Create a full set of new teeth
